I read other reviews and the negative ones and I am surprised. We were pretty happy overall with the whole experience. For starters last night the air was not working properly , so we were nervous it was very stuffy. We were sat next to the kitchen door and every time they opened the door a wave of cold air came out, that was great! To be fair the AC guys were on site working hard to get it right. For starters, the ice water was so nice refreshing. Tasted good. I don’t typically drink water at restaurants but here I managed to drink a carafe! I had a gin drink , the Enzoni, it was worthy of its price. We had Fried Calamari, it was a bit fried for our taste but that doesn’t make it good or bad. Just our preference. We had the Margherita pizza and linguini shrimp scampi. This alone made the poor AC worth it. The linguini noodles tasted homemade, the flavor was incredible, my favorite . The pizza crust was very good. Flavor of the pizza was fresh and not heavy. So I am super thankful you are here! Thanks for making Defuniak better.

Really exceptional, a treasure in downtown DeFuniak Springs. The service as great, the food and beverages outstanding. Community feel - perfect for a special occasion or just a night out. Dress up or blue jeans and you will be comfy. Everyone made you feel welcome and they have an incredible chef. From the smoked fish appetizer (took a chance and so glad we did) to the cast iron pasta and peanut butter chocolate pie all fresh and special attention to detail both in flavor and presentation. Cocktails and an extensive wine menu there really must be something for everyone. We even saw a kids menu! They will be so busy, don't miss out. Indoor and outdoor seating and saw an upstairs space that wasn't open yet. I don't believe you could possibly be disappointed.

A Hidden Gem with Authentic Flavor, Exceptional Service & a Personal Touch Iron & Grape Italian Kitchen is a true culinary gem in DeFuniak Springs. We've been twice now, and both visits have been absolutely outstanding. The atmosphere is stylish yet comfortable—perfect for anything from a casual dinner to a special night out. We’ve enjoyed the Chicken Marsala and Chicken Parmesan, both full of flavor and beautifully presented. The mozzarella cheese sticks are house-made and far better than your standard fare—crispy, gooey, and delicious. The calamari was another standout: perfectly cooked, tender, and plated like a masterful appetizer you'd expect at a fine-dining restaurant. The Caesar Avocado salad was crisp, fresh, and flavorful. Pair all of that with their exceptional wine list and handcrafted cocktails, and you’ve got a complete, elevated dining experience. Do not leave without trying the tiramisu—it’s a must-have. Even if you’re full, split one. You won’t regret it. Owners Kelli and Chef Todd have created something truly special here. Their passion shows in every detail—from the food to the atmosphere—and they genuinely care about each guest’s experience. Both times we visited, our servers were phenomenal. Huge thanks to Ashley and Larry for their warm, attentive service. Iron & Grape is the kind of place that makes you proud to be local. We’ll be back again and again.

Great addition to North Walton County. They really did a good job on the decor and vive if the restaurant. There are two bars to sit at. The food was awesome. I had the feature pasta pie. Ground lamb, spices, pasta and bechamel. The meatball app was fantastic. The bread service is really the best, period. Had an Italian margarita that was perfect. Caprese with roasted beets, yes please. Tiramisu was on point as well. Bri our server was warm and gracious. Kelli is always a bright spot in any day. The place is live and we will be going back and back again.

WOW! Great place, even better service! My husband and I both agree this is the best place we’ve eaten at in a while!! The shrimp scampi!!! EXCELLENT FLAVOR EXCELLENT CONSISTENCY WITH THE SAUCE & we had the peach tart I believe is what it was called it was HEAVENLY I HOPE THEY PUT IT ON THEIR DESERT MENU FOR AN ALL TIME DESERT INSTEAD OF JUST THE FEATURED MENU!

We had wonderful drinks and food. The mescal drink, Closing Argument, is a fantastically balanced and classic drink. The salads, Caesar or Watermelon both were spot on with their flavor profiles. I tried the Italian meatloaf with both tomato and mushroom gravies. The tomato glaze with the gravies added a wonderful flavor to the Italian spiced meat. My wife had the chicken Parmesan which was crispy and had a great sauce with angel hair pasta. Everything from the bread service to the deserts were top notch. I will return to try the other options.

We came in for the Grand Opening, and we had an amazing meal! The restaurant atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with classy with laidback vibes! We will be dining here often, (perfect for date nights) and will definitely take advantage of the bar & patio on summer evenings! We chose a bottle of red to enjoy with our meal, & our server Larry made sure we were well taken care of! The food was fresh, delicious, and portions were generous!
